My teaching is structured as Fall and Spring semesters. After an initial consult and lesson, students commit to lessons the remaining weeks of the semesters. We follow the basic schedule of the Wilton Public Schools. A simple contract will be emailed followed by monthly or bimonthly invoices which specifies lesson dates. Cash, checks and credit cards (additional 3.5% fee) are accepted.
Please give me as much cancel notice as possible to facilitate rescheduling. If the student has a cold or symptoms of something contagious, I can’ teach until the student improves. I’ll make up one missed lesson per semester gratis.
As an active performer and session musician things do come up last-minute, usually no less than a week’s notice. If I can’t make a lesson I’ll make it up. Sometimes this can be additional time in 15-min blocks, schedules permitting, spread out over one or more weeks. Other times we can schedule a full make-up lesson on a holiday or snow day.
For all interested potential students, I have a brief introductory phone call with parents to understand the students’ needs and desires regarding music education. I’m pleased to accept motivated students who are ready to apply themselves and have fun learning and growing in music, subject to his available time. If unavailable, I maintain a waiting list. For parents wishing to speak with me about music study, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 203.918.2916
